Job Description


Role:
To maximize sale of the category with least value losses (to maximize GMROI of the category)
To ensure this by
* defining effective distribution matrix of the merchandise within the category,
* identifying & ensuring optimal MBQ for the category for each location,
* keeping a check on responsive replenishment,
* ensuring maximum visibility across counters,
* Smart mark-down planning and
* placing the buy (writing order quantity) for SKU's that have moved well.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain and monitor age of SKUs within the category
2. Define active and de-active items based on age, their sales performance: handover to MIS
3. Flag inventory as core1, core2, new1, new2, repeat1, repeat2,... repeat# as per lot size
4. Define MDQ & MBQ for POS locations for the category dynamically (daily/weekly/monthly), maintain it so and pass on to Ops team
5. Define eligibility of SKU's within the category for each POS location as a function of its sale grade: Pass it to Ops team
6. Transferring stocks between virtual godowns of trade, retail to maximize sales: Informing Ops
7. Monitor stock cover of the category every week- identify deviations & highlight them
8. Identify RTV candidates every week mark them as de-active & hand over to Ops team & MIS
9. Give inputs on sales velocity, repeat order quantity to merchandising team for Production
10. Prepare lot size template for the category as new POS locations get added and/or sales depth changes every quarter of category SKU's
11. Present analysis of sales movement within the category by parties, by zones, by price points, by weeks
12. Plan discount structure during EOSS at SKU levels by analyzing, age, inventory value, broken sizes, sell thru% and stock on hand
13. Prepare monthly OTB for the category based on actual category sale performance and closing stock, communicate changes to Production after management approval
14. Maintain the interfaces with the I.T. (ERP) system and ensuring its accuracy (regarding category budgets, buy plan, SKU's flagging etc)
15. Documenting the SOP in every day operations

KRA:
1. Category Sales target as budgeted
2. Category's fresh sell-through%, value loss (GMROI) as budgeted
3.Responsible for weekly, monthly and season wise MIS of category performance.
